Eenmaal is the first one-person restaurant of the world, based in the city of Amsterdam. This project was created by strategic designer Van Goor of MVG/CREATIVE AGENCY (vhOntwerpstudio Marina van Goor) whilst creative agency Vandejong signed up to create its visual identity. Eenmaal created a place where eating alone is awesome and where you can be disconnected for a while.
An exciting experiment to pose a challenge to solitary dining
"Eenmaal is just like any other excellent restaurant but totally unique in one thing: it only has tables to seat one person. Where you might usually go out to eat with company, at Eenmaal you are your own company. It is the perfect place to dine in pleasant solitude; an exciting experiment for those who never go out for dinner alone and an attractive place to eat for those who already enjoy doing so," says creator Marina van Goor. The concept has already been successfully tested earlier this year during culinary festival The Rolling Kitchens on the Westergasterrein in Amsterdam. This time, however, Van Goor is extracting the concept and turning it into a pop-up restaurant.
